Stained Glass Table Runner Pattern Step-by-step instructions with easy-to-follow diagrams for drawing the Stained Glass design and for cutting and assembling the fabrics, to make a table runner. When finished it will measure approx 13" wide and will be a minimum length of 35". However, the length can easily be increased in 10" increments - the instructions explain how to do this. This project is intended to be mainly worked by hand, although it could be entirely machine sewn if you prefer.
Fabric requirements:
· Three different fabrics for Stained Glass 1 Fat Eighth of Dark fabric (A) 1 Fat Quarter of Medium Fabric (B) 1 Fat Quarter of Light Fabric (C)
· 0.5m calico or lightweight sew-in Vilene™
· At least 5m fusible bias tape
· 0.4m Background fabric
· 1m Insul-Bright heat-resistant wadding (223 wide)
· 0.4m Backing fabric
· 0.25m Dark fabric for binding cut into 2½3 wide strips
These requirements are for the minimum length table runner. For a longer version you will probably have enough of the Stained Glass fabrics but will need twice as much background fabric, wadding and backing (as you will need to join 2 pieces to get the required length) and 50% extra of each of the other items |
