Terms & Conditions

Downloable Products

Unless otherwise stated, any downloaded files, such as Pattern PDFs etc. are for the sole private use of the customer. These files MUST NOT be copied and/or distributed to any third party in any form, either electronically or in printed form whatsoever, without the prior written Consent of Sleeping Bear Crafts.

Printed Products

Cancellation of Orders

Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased on this web-site within 7 days of placing your order.

You can cancel an order by emailing info@sleepingbearcrafts.com or calling us on 01444 230152.

If we have not yet dispatched the goods, we will cancel your order and make an immediate repayment.

If we have already dispatched the goods, you will need to return them to us within 30 days of cancellation.

For your own benefit:

Please pack any returned goods with care and protection, preferably in their original packaging, as we cannot be responsible for damage during return shipment.

Please obtain proof of posting.

You may wish to use Special Delivery if the value of the returned goods exceeds £34.00.

Once we have received the goods in a satisfactory condition, we will make a repayment for the cost of the goods, but not the cost of postage.

Returns and Replacements

We work hard to provide good service and high quality products.

If goods have been damaged in transit, please let us know within 7 days of delivery, and we will arrange for a replacement to be sent. You may be asked to return the goods to us, but we will refund your postage in these cases.

If there are any pieces missing, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can send them on.

If goods are faulty, please return them to us, in their original packaging, within 60 days of receipt. Let us know whether you would like a replacement, credit or a refund. In any case your postage will be refunded.

If you are dissatisfied with the goods for any other reason or if we have failed to provide the level of service you expected, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can rectify the situation.

In all cases please supply the following information:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Order number (printed on invoice)
  • Date received by you
  • Product Code and missing items if applicable
  • Replacement, credit or refund option

Please obtain insurance (from the Post Office) for faulty or damaged returned goods over the value of £34.00. (The cost of this will be refunded)

Postage and Packing Charges

For the majority of goods our Postage Charge is dependent on the weight of goods ordered and the destination.

For some goods where additional packaging is required, a fixed Postage Charge may apply.

In all cases the Postage Charge options will be shown at checkout, so you will know the total cost before you finally submit your order for payment.

For the UK we offer Royal Mail 1st or 2nd Class postage. 2nd Class is only available for orders up to 1Kg.

International orders up to 2Kg are sent by Royal Mail Airmail.

Customers can choose to collect their orders in person at any of our Stitch & Chat sessions or Workshops. In these cases ther will be no charge for P&P.
Please eneter the details of when and where you would like to collect you order in the customer notes section on the final "submit order" page.

Personal Details

Please note that we DO NOT pass the names and addresses (including email addresses) of our customers on to any other organisation for any purpose whatsoever. Any personal details gathered by us are used solely for our own customer service and marketing purposes.

If at any time you do not wish to continue receiving information about us or our products at your postal address or email address then please inform us using one of the contact methods described on the Contact Us page.

Workshops and Classes

Workshops can be paid for in full at the time of booking or, if you prefer, you can pay a deposit, with the remainder being due 30 days before the date of the workshop. (£12.50 deposit for one-day workshops; £25 deposit for multi-day classes.)

If you have to cancel your booking please let us know as soon as possible.
If we can fill your place you will receive a full refund, less a £5 administration fee.
If we are unable to fill your place, but you have given us at least 15 days notice you will forfeit your deposit and the balance will be refunded.
If you give us less than 15 days notice no refund will be made, unless we have been able to fill your place.

Substitutions

Due to the nature of the fabric industry it is not possible to guarantee long-term supplies of a particular fabric since manufacturers often discontinue designs after a certain time.

Wherever possible the kits supplied will include fabrics as shown in the pictures on this web-site and on the product packaging. However, if necessary, other fabrics of a similar design and colour may be substituted.
In all cases the overall colour scheme of the kit will remain the same.

Product descriptions and pictures will be updated to show the new fabrics as soon as is practically feasible.

Sale Offers
Products and services offered at a reduced price for a limited period MUST be paid for within the sale period, either by credit card or cheque. Cheque payments which arrive at our offices outside the sale period may be refused and the order cancelled.

Free Offers
Products and services offered for free can be withdrawn at any time without notice or substitution.

Any goods or services which have been previously offered for free can at any time have a charge applied to them.

New customers who register with us to download free offers will be automatically added to our eNewletter mailing list.
